Occupational Health at the University provides staff access to vaccinations for infectious illness.

COVID-19

Health, Safety and Wellbeing will be running a one-day COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Tuesday, 25 June from 8:30am to 4:00pm. The clinic will be located in the University Union building on the mezzanine level and will be signposted. We will have limited availability to take walk-ins on the day to secure your slot please book.

To be eligible to receive the vaccine:

  • It must be 6 months since your last COVID-19 vaccine
  • It must be more than 6 months since you've had COVID-19
  • You must be prepared to wait for 15 minutes post vaccine

To help this clinic run smoothly, please be aware of the following information:

  • Fill out your consent form in advance and bring it with you
  • Please wear a T-shirt or other short-sleeved garment so vaccinators can access your upper arm/shoulder area
  • We know that sometimes people forget their form and we will have forms available BUT it would be very helpful if you had your NHI number with you or your University ID or driver’s licence
  • If you do not have an NHI number, let the clinic know when you arrive for your appointment

Hepatitis A

Recommended for staff who have the potential for exposure to human faecal contamination.

Hepatitis B

Recommended for staff who have the potential for exposure to blood and body fluids. This is a series of three injections at 0,1 and 6 months.

It is recommended that prior to commencing the immunisation, there is a blood test to establish the immunity status, and also post immunisation to establish if there has been seroconversion.
