About the Department's Mentoring Programme
Our Accounting Mentoring Programme is available to all students majoring in Accounting. The programme helps familiarise you with the wide range of Accounting career opportunities. It also helps you understand what it means to become a member of a professional body.
What does the programme involve?
This successful programme has been running for the past 6 years and involves:
- Groups of 5 to 10 students
- Formal face-to-face group meetings with a chosen business mentor
- Around four group meetings a year supported by one-on-one phone and email contacts
Who are the mentors?
Past mentors have included:
- CEOs
- CFOs
- Company directors
- Accounting and consultancy firm partners
The mentors span a wide range of industries. These include chartered accounting firms, banking, manufacturing, retail, and not-for-profits.
