Staff from the Department's Clinical Anatomy Research Group today lay flowers in memory of those who have donated their body to further medical science teaching and research.
The flowers were placed on a rose garden at Anderson Bay Cemetery in Dunedin where the ashes of many of our donors are scattered. A plaque is also dedicated to the memory of those who have so generously donated their body to the Department.
Our donors and their families are in our thoughts at this time when friends and family gather to celebrate Christmas. Without their generosity and support, it would not be possible to run such a successful bequest programme, and for our young health professionals to advance their knowledge of anatomy.
