Business research degrees at Otago
As a postgraduate at the Otago Business School, you will benefit from teaching and supervision by world-class researchers. The Otago Business School offers two categories of research degree: a combination of taught papers and a dedicated research project, or a purely research focused degree.
- Doctor of Business Administration (DBA): involves submission of a thesis and the completion of coursework consisting of six papers. The coursework is an integral and constitutive part of the thesis research of the degree.
- Master of Commerce (MCom): involves a one-year thesis-only research degree.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD): involves a three-year thesis-only research degree.
