Akhilesh Swaminathan is a Gastroenterologist and PhD candidate with the Department of Medicine, University of Otago, Christchurch. His research interests include non-invasive disease assessment of gastrointestinal disorders with a particular focus on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).
