Mark Holdaway is currently a PhD student with the Christchurch Heart Institute, under the supervision of Dr Sarah Appleby and Associate Professor Chris Pemberton.
His PhD project aims to investigate the blood protein erythroferrone as a biomarker in acute heart failure.
Mark is also a medical student studying towards his MB ChB at the University of Otago, Christchurch.
