Zoe trained in the UK and gained surgical membership before moving to New Zealand in 2007 to become an orthopaedic registrar. She left hospital practice and became a GP, where she worked for 10 years, maintaining an interest in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal medicine. She returned to part-time hospital work in 2011 when a vacancy arose in the weekly MSK clinic at Palmerston North Hospital.
Zoe completed the University of Otago MSK diploma in 2015.
After having children Zoe returned to work as an Urgent Care GP and ran a urgent care fracture clinic for 2 years. She completed specialist training as a Musculoskeletal medicine specialist in November 2019.
Zoe currently works full-time in private Musculoskeletal medicine practice in Palmerston North with her husband Mark who is the practice Manager, and she works part-time in the public MSK clinic.
