The Department of Pathology officially has a new name with the addition of 'and Biomedical Science' to the end of it approved by the University Senate.
HOD Professor Martin Kennedy is delighted to announce the new name which was approved late last year.
“This department is responsible for teaching key Pathology subjects to undergraduate medical students, but it also has many staff and postgraduate students who are engaged in biomedical research,” says Professor Kennedy
“Successive University reviews have recommended we change our name to better reflect the broader activities of the Department, and it is very pleasing that we now have a new name that better describes our key functions.”
