The Department of Pathology and Biomedical Science turned Pink for a Day on 31 October 2018 and raised $515.00 for the Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand.
Staff and students from the Department supported the fundraiser by wearing pink. A number of staff also baked and money was raised at pink themed afternoon tea and a bake sale in the Rolleston Foyer.
The money raised will help educate New Zealanders on the importance of early detection, improve the quality of life of people with breast cancer and will be invested in research that could improve treatments and find cures.
