Nikki is a member of the Department of Surgery and Critical Care based in Otautahi, with her focus in the area of research to improve outcomes and care for tūroro (patients) and Whānau with Colorectal cancer ( CRC ) in her role as a Clinical Research Nurse (Māori), ensuring understanding of Tikanga principles and liaison with Iwi with regards to our Mahi and information dissemination.
Previously holding roles as a Clinical Research Nurse for the Emergency Care Foundation alongside high performance roles in the health sector, with roles with Te Whatu Ora, Iwi Lead Providers, including senior management and advisor roles with private organisations, health consultancy and Advisor for the Ministry of Health, and the Ambulance Sector, with strong skills and experience in research nursing, emergency care (including surgical and medical) Māori health, mental health, education, leadership, strategic management, project management and delivery, consultancy and advisory and emergency responsiveness and management roles.
