The research focus of the Inflammation Research Group is to investigate the role of inflammatory mediators in the pathogenesis of different inflammatory conditions, such as acute pancreatitis, septic shock, burns, and arthritis, with the long-term goal of developing clinically effective therapeutic approaches.
The group is lead by Professor Madhav Bhatia, who joined the Department of Pathology and Biomedical Science in January 2010 from the National University of Singapore.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated students with medical or biomedical science background to do their postgraduate study with the Inflammation Research Group.
Scholarship funding is available to eligible students to undertake their PhD with us. We also offer a one year biomedical science honours degree.
