To mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of the University of Otago, the Centre for Irish and Scottish Studies is sponsoring a series of public lectures on 'Great Scots: Otago Men and Women Who Shaped New Zealand.'
In each lecture, a current University of Otago academic will assess the legacy of an eminent Scottish figure from the University's past whose life and work had an impact on society.
Lectures will take place on the first Sunday of each month from February through November at 2pm in the Auditorium of Toitū Otago Settlers Museum, Dunedin.
Entry is free. All are welcome.
