This critically acclaimed documentary, produced and directed by Peta Carey of Watershed films, documents the story of how a large family segregating a lethal disorder, otopalatodigital syndrome type 2, were engaged by Professor Robertson in a research endeavour to find the causative genetic factor behind their condition.
The film, "Lifting of the Makutu", tells of how a close collaboration between two groups of people of differing cultural backgrounds evolved, and ultimately succeeded, in this quest.
