The Nuffield Medical Fellowship is an opportunity offered to a New Zealander who is a health researcher and a graduate of any University in NZ to study at Oxford University in the UK. Applicants need not necessarily be graduates in medicine; applications are welcomed from graduates in other health sciences or an appropriate biomedical discipline.
Two fellowships are offered over each triennial cycle and the fellowship itself is tenable for two years, extendable to three years pending satisfactory progress. A stipend is offered together with relocation expenses.
Professor Robertson, a Nuffield Fellow from 1999—2002, is currently chair of the New Zealand-based Nomination Committee. Individuals interested in applying for the Fellowship should contact him to discuss the timing of upcoming application rounds. Flyers and information sheets below summarize the application procedures for recent rounds.
