The main objective of the Graduate Research Student Liaison Committee is to provide an official forum for students to discuss issues relating to graduate research at Otago. Members of the Committee may make recommendations for change to any appropriate processes or regulations.
Examples of issues that the Committee has discussed in the past are: pro rata fees and enrolment, intellectual property rights, the examination process, the PhD Handbook, and resources for graduate research students.
Committee meetings
The Committee meets four times per year and comprises representatives from all the academic divisions as well as Māori, Pacific Islands and international students. A member of the Graduate Research Committee also attends our meetings. The Dean, Graduate Research School, convenes the Committee.
