A Diploma for Graduates may be endorsed in over 90 different subjects. Any subject that is currently available as a major subject for the following degrees may be the subject of endorsement for a DipGrad:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA)
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
- Bachelor of Science (BSc)
- Bachelor of Theology (BTheol)
- Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHealSc)
For example, as History is a possible major subject for BA, you can do a DipGrad endorsed in History, and since Management is a possible major subject for BCom, you can do a DipGrad endorsed in Management, and so forth.
Additionally, there are a number of specialist subject endorsements that have been designed specifically for the DipGrad, so they are not available as a major subject for any Bachelor's degrees.
These DipGrad-only specialisations are:
- Buddhist Studies
- Creative Marketing
- Criminology
- Information and Communications Technology
- Sports Business
Every DipGrad must have at least four papers (72 points) at 300-level or above, and the DipGrad cannot be endorsed in a subject unless at least three of those papers are in the endorsed subject.
The programme of study for an endorsed DipGrad is worked out in consultation with the department responsible for teaching the endorsement subject(s). The consultation process will take into account your previous academic study, your goals, and the major subject requirement.
