Overview
This project is in the brain cancer field and aims to develop and test new drug formulations to identify those that can best target some of the most aggressive cancers. The project will involve the formulation, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics testing of nanoformulations for targeted delivery of drugs to treat aggressive brain tumours. The project will also involve the development of brain tumour models to test the nanoformulations.
The ideal candidate will hold a BPharm (Hons) or MPharm (expertise in pharmaceutical sciences), MedLabSci(Hons) or MMLSc (expertise in precision and accuracy) or a related discipline (molecular biology) and will be enthusiastic and passionate about research. Preference will be given to students with an outstanding academic record and a proven track record of research productivity. We are also looking for someone who is keen to work as part of a larger team working on a MBIE funded programme grant dedicated to developing new technologies to target neurological disorders.
A PhD stipend is available, funded as part of a MBIE programme grant, for three years.
