$3,000 for accommodation and travel allowances to bring four third year pharmacy students to the Bay of Islands for placements in rural community pharmacy practices.

This scholarship is designed to assist students entering the second year of the course leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with clear ability but who, without adequate financial means, would otherwise find it difficult to complete the medical course.

$8,500 to assist students enrolled for the degree of Bachelor of Medical Science (Hons).

$1,200 to assist students enrolled for the fifth or sixth year of the course leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Otago who are experiencing financial hardship.

$8,000 to assist a BMedSc(Hons) student or a postgraduate student undertaking cancer research for a postgraduate qualification.

The scholarship is available to a female student who is a New Zealand citizen or New Zealand permanent resident in their 3rd year of study towards the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Otago.
