This
recent series of work is intended to resonate with fellow technophiles,
by referencing characteristics of the machine, such as metal, mechanical
movement, and craftsmanship. My work tends towards an entertaining parody
of man's use of machines to conquer nature, and man's paradoxical
attempts to transcend the perceived limitations of the human body.
Pas de Deux (winner of a 1997 Cleveland Art Award), and Headset-Shortwave, can be see in the Spring 1997 issue of Deep South. |
