Diabetes New Zealand (DNZ)
DNZ is the key patient advocacy organisation for those living with diabetes in Aotearoa New Zealand. We recently partnered with DNZ (along with HLNSC and philanthropists Tony and Heather Falkenstein) to commission the pivotal Economic and Social Cost of Type 2 Diabetes report.
EDOR's namesake, Sir Eion Edgar, was also patron of DNZ for many years.

EPOCH CRE
This Australian Centre of Research Excellence In the Early Prevention of Obesity in Childhood (EPOCH CRE) brings together researchers, practitioners and policy-makers from Australia, New Zealand and England to work collaboratively on approaches to prevention of obesity in children aged 0-5 years.
EDOR Director Professor Rachael Taylor has collaborated extensively with EPOCH, especially on the POI project.

Health Hawke's Bay – Te Oranga o Te Matau-a-Māui
EDOR has teamed up with the primary health organization Health Hawke's Bay, as part of an implementation research project under the leadership of Associate Professor Kirsten Coppell.
Other important partners in this collaboration have included Sport Hawke's Bay.

Healthier Lives – He Oranga Hauora National Science Challenge
Professor Jim Mann, EDOR Co-Director, is the founding Director of this National Science Challenge.
Many EDOR researchers are involved with Healthier Lives funded research projects, and EDOR has collaborated with this National Science Challenge in a number of public events.

Lions Clubs
Lions Clubs have a special interest in reducing the prevalence of diabetes and improving the quality of life for those living with diabetes.
Lions Clubs District 202F, based in Southland and Central Otago, have raised funds for EDOR's diabetes research, and in particular projects aimed at improving the management of type 1 diabetes for children and young people.

Riddet Institute
The Riddet is a national Centre of Research Excellence or CoRE.
Several EDOR researchers are associated with this CoRE, carrying out joint research projects that complement the missions of both research groups.

TOPCHILD
The TOPCHILD Collaboration is bringing together researchers from around the world to transform early childhood obesity prevention.
Professor Rachael Taylor is on the advisory group and is a member of this international collaboration, which includes 42 research groups from twelve different countries.

World Health Organisation (WHO)
Professor Jim Mann, EDOR Co-Director, is a member of the nutrition guidance advisory group (NUGAG) for the World Health Organization.
Several EDOR researchers have been involved in research projects which inform WHO nutrition policy.
