EDOR Co-Director, has been named as the University of Otago 'Best New Supervisor of the Year'. Dr Reynolds was also a finalist for the ‘Health Sciences Supervisor of the Year’.

Dr Reynolds' research focuses on lifestyle risk factors for non-communicable diseases like diabetes and heart disease. He conducts clinical trials to find the best ways to prevent and manage these conditions.

He also undertakes systematic reviews and meta analyses to synthesise current research knowledge and his work has informed international clinical and dietary guidelines, including for the World Health Organization and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes.
