The Department of Women's and Children's Health at Otago Medical School has two sections:
Both sections have a long and proud tradition in the University of Otago for their teaching and research. Our department hosts a number of internationally-recognised experts in a wide range of fields, and hosts the New Zealand Child and Youth Epidemiology Service, the New Zealand Paediatric Surveillance Unit, and the National Mortality Review Data Group.
We welcome enquiries from students wishing to pursue postgraduate research qualifications. We offer a number of postgraduate medical courses:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology (PGDipOMG)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Child Health (DCH)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Pregnancy and Medical Gynaecology (PGCertPMG)
We also offer postgraduate study in Master's and PhD topics covering a range of disciplines, for students of medical or non-medical academic backgrounds.
