The Pasifika Success Talanoa project offers professional development for school leaders and staff in culturally responsive practices to support them in building their capabilities, capacity and confidence to work more effectively with Pasifika students and their families and raise achievement levels.
This professional development opportunity will offer you guidance and support in:
- Governing and managing your school through a Pasifika lens
- Increasing your knowledge of students' identities, language and cultures
- Provide a link to more successful achievement outcomes
- Build culturally responsive strategies
- Explore successful learning models to increase Pasifika students' levels of motivation and engagement
This support can be with individual staff members, whole school, cluster of schools and Kāhui Ako to improve teacher, leader and school practice in ways that impact on student learning
