Axel Norberg is an early career researcher working under the supervision of Professor Tim Woodfield in the Christchurch Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering (CReaTE) Research Group.

Specialised in oxygen control within 3D-cell culture and tissue engineering, he focuses on modular approaches to overcome interferences between biological and material components.

His current work is centred on commercialising an oxygen control system developed during his PhD.
