Completion timeframe for NanoString projects is usually up to eight weeks after samples have been received and passed internal QC, and all required consumables have been received from NanoString.
Delivery of consumables from NanoString usually takes 4-8 weeks.
OGF NanoString client process
If the project requires an off-the-shelf panel:
OGF will generate a Services Agreement (contract) between facility and researcher or institution.
Once the Services Agreement is complete, OGF will order the consumables. Delivery of consumables is usually 4 - 6 weeks.
Projects are usually completed at OGF within eight weeks of receipt of the samples and required consumables.
If the project requires a custom CodeSet:
OGF will provide the appropriate NanoString Codeset Design Form (CDF) to client.
The client then liaises directly with NanoString until the client's project criteria are met. The CDF contains instructions for completing the form and submitting to NanoString.
When the NanoString bioinformatics team completes the custom project design, a Codeset Design Report (CDR) is sent to the client. There may be further iteration of the design until all project criteria met.
The client then signs off the project design with NanoString by sending the signed CDR (CDR must be physically signed) including Excel spreadsheet to NanoString. The clients involvement with NanoString is then complete. The design timeframe is dependent on communication between the client and NanoString.
The client then sends a copy of the CDR, including both the excel spread-sheet and the signed agreement to OGF.
When OGF receive the CDR, the Service Agreement (contract) between the facility and researcher or institution will be finalised.
Once the Services Agreement is complete, OGF will order the consumables - delivery of consumables to OGF is usually 4 - 6 weeks.
Projects are usually completed at OGF 8 weeks after all consumables and samples have been received.
