Marcia Bjornerud has her last day on study leave in the Department of Geology. Marcia is a structural geologist who is Professor and Chair of Geology at Lawrence University, Wisconsin. She is the author of an acclaimed book introducing geology: "Reading the rocks - the autobiography of the earth" (Perseus Books 2005). At Otago, she has worked closely with Virginia Toy and Richard Norris, also shown in the photo.
