How do I apply?
Applications for Hands-On at Otago 2025 opened on Monday 1 July 2024. Applications will close at midnight Thursday 8 August 2024.
Selection process
To maintain the high quality of the “Hands-On at Otago” experience, numbers are restricted.
Priority is given to senior students and to students who have not previously attended the programme.
Scholarships
All scholarships require completion of the scholarship application online. There is an option for scholarship application at the end of your general application.

Notification
A letter will be sent to all students at the beginning of October advising of acceptance into the programme as well as their allocated project.
Payment
Payment must be made within 4 weeks to confirm your place. Receipts are not issued unless requested.
Cancellation
If your cancellation is received between 30 November 2024 and 1 January 2025, a 50 per cent fee refund will be made. After 1 January 2025 there will be no refunds.
Legal stuff
The University of Otago reserves the right to alter components of the programme, to cancel or terminate the programme, or to reject an application for enrolment.
