About Pam
Pam is employed on the University of Otago College of Education Southland Campus as a teaching fellow. She provides workshops and individual consultations relating to study related topics for undergraduate students studying in initial teacher education programmes (Te Pokai Matauranga, Primary and Early Childhood endorsements). Pam has been in this role since 2015 and is employed for a few hours a week, mainly during semester time.
She has a background in education covering over 30 years and has taught in early childhood, special education and since 2003, in the tertiary sector. Pam worked for the Dunedin College of Education Southland Campus, both full-time and part-time and has worked for the University of Otago since 2010 in a variety of roles: Professional Practice Fellow, Tutor and Teaching Practice Supervisor. She is also currently employed as a Teaching Practice Supervisor in the UOCE Early Childhood Programme. At times she has also been contracted by the University of Auckland to provide teaching practice supervision for distance students in their Graduate Diploma of Teaching Programme.
