Research summary
There are many drivers behind the design of a vocational health science degree programme, sometimes those drivers are competing. My research aims to investigate the principles of curriculum design to best meet the needs of a health science discipline, producing competent practitioners in an educationally valid and sustainable manner.
Research interests
I am interested in how people learn, especially in the context of preparing for practice and how to promote lifelong and transferable learning. I also have an interest in the education of patients interacting with our health system, how to best address the needs of people at a vulnerable time and the health practitioners providing that education.
