Bring science to life
Otago offers New Zealand’s widest range of health and biomedical degrees. Start your journey towards an in-demand career.
Health Sciences First Year (HSFY) is the essential first step into five of Otago's health professional programmes, and also an excellent way to begin any health professional programme, or a degree in the biological or biomedical sciences.
Please note: Health Sciences First Year (HSFY) is not the same as Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHealSc)
Please note: Health Sciences First Year must be your first year of university study. Undertaking any other tertiary study before enrolling in HSFY could jeopardise your enrolment in the HSFY programme. You are strongly advised to contact AskOtago if you are considering this.
