The New Zealand Government is a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). Article 25 of the UNCRPD states that disabled people have the right to the highest attainable standard of health without discrimination on the basis of disability, and as a signatory the Government is obligated to deliver this right.

In this webinar, the Disabled Person-Led Monitoring team from the Donald Beasley Institute will present findings from the "My Experiences, My Rights: A Monitoring Report on Disabled People's Experience of Health and Wellbeing in Aotearoa New Zealand" report, which investigated the health and wellbeing experiences by disabled people.

Presented by Associate Professor Brigit Mirfin-Veitch, Dr Robbie Francis Watene, Eden Tuisaula and Umi Asaka of the Donald Beasley Institute (DBI).
