Special collections
The university is home to several special collections including:
- Māori Resources Collection: containing core Māori resources including books, reports, journals, maps and atlases.
- Special Collections: containing books and manuscripts which span the earliest examples of European printing through to modern first editions and publications from the 20th and 21st centuries.
- Hocken Collections: containing a range of materials in relation to the history and culture of New Zealand, the Pacific and Antarctica with a focus on Otago and Southland.
