Tuition fee waiver for recipient(s) completing a performance paper in Scottish piping or drumming but not completing a Bachelor of Music degree, up to $3,000

For domestic students in their first year of study who are eligible for a full waiver of tuition fees, the scholarship shall be paid directly to the student.

Information

Established in 2008 by Dr Peter and Mrs Ruth Grant, in memory of their ancestor David A. Grant, to assist a student who has demonstrated outstanding ability in solo performance in Scottish piping, and a student who has demonstrated outstanding ability in Scottish drumming.

Applicants must be:

  • Intending to enrol for full-time study at the University of Otago in the year following the closing date
  • Intending to take a music performance paper in Scottish piping or Scottish drumming
