Off-Air Recording
AV Services in the Central Library on the University of Otago's Dunedin campus can record broadcasted television programmes for use in your teaching programme.
Lecture Recording
On the University of Otago's Dunedin campus there are specific lecture theatres that are set up for:
- interlinking - a number of lecture theatres video-linked together
- podcast recording - producing mp4 video recordings
- live streaming of events
The Media Production team also has a number of portable recording boxes to provide podcast recording and/or streaming capabilities from anywhere in New Zealand.

Media Production can film and edit your event, such as a one-off lecture or symposium, and prepare the files for podcasting or other uses.
When recording a Special Event organised or hosted by the University of Otago (i.e., an Inaugural Professorial Lecture, Distinguished Research Medal Lecture or other lectures open to the public), an agreement form must be completed for copyright compliance purposes.
