Mr. Francisco Araya taught English as a foreign language for 19 years in secondary schools, 18 years in Chile, and a year in Paraguay. He started working at Otago in March 2001 as a tutor, and from semester 2, 2002 as a teaching fellow for the Spanish program of Languages and Cultures. Here he has taught and coordinated language papers at the three levels given at Otago; Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced. He's a native speaker of Spanish, and near-native speaker of English.
