(Opens in new window) The Bibliography Room has been fortunate in its donors. The Albion hand press was begged from the Otago Museum. The Columbian hand press came from Laing and Matthews, and was probably brought to Dunedin in the mid-1860s by Henry Wise. John McIndoe gave samples of Bodoni and Plantin type, the Otago Daily Times gave founts of Garamond, and S. N. Brown supplied the type cases, now collectable as knick-knack holders. Others gave their time and expertise: Bryan Kershaw, Don Tobin, and members of the Otago Graphics Arts Club. This small poster was printed in 1967 in recognition of the generosity of these four Dunedin firms. Bibliography Room Donors, 1967 |
