When Dr Maslen was on sabbatical leave, the presses were left in the capable hands of Dr Roger Collins, of the French and Art History Departments. ‘L’Epitaphe Villon’ was printed by Collins in 1964. The title La Ballad des Pendus (not seen but overleaf) is printed in a rather striking red. Charles Brasch, poet, patron and literary editor, also got ink on his hands; setting and printing the poems ‘Daily Bread’ (for Ron Mason) and ‘Circumscript.’
