The student project for 2001 was Andrew Marvell’s The Garden, first published in 1681. Cropped to fit in the cabinet, this unfolded sheet shows how the type is laid out and how in this instance the printer prints four pages at once. All the type is locked into a chase (a steel frame for holding the form on the press) for printing.
