What poet today would accept 47 cents as final royalty payment? History is documented by the Bibliography Room accounts, which reveal a time when a dollar was a Dollar and the royalties paid out were relatively very small. Hone Tuwhare’s generous nature is evident in this letter to Maslen, thanking him ‘doubly for seeing Come Rain Hail through to a tidy printing end.’
