There are considerable freedoms attached to a printing press. The printer can exercise a careless regard for convention and print whatever he or she likes. It can often be amusing, for example, the 1963 party invitation announcing ‘it is a Quiet Respectable Hooha and all bums, creeps, eggheads, beatnix, and Friends of Yours will be Ejected.’
