Russian Dolls
Bronwyn Tate (1959-2005) wrote Leaving for Townsville (1997), Russian Dolls (1999), Halfway to Africa (2002) and Lily's Cupola (2003). The first three were promoted through the nationwide Women's Book Festival and distributed to the trade in New Zealand by HarperCollins, in Australia through Unireps (Sydney), and in North America by International Specialized Book Services, Oregon. These wider trade connections are a far remove from the early days of the 1960s. Russian Dolls was designed by Anneloes Douglas, her first real commission.
