The Mosses of New Zealand
Allison and Child's The Mosses of New Zealand was first published by UOP in 1971. In October 1990, the Lottery Grants Board allocated the Press $6,500 towards a reprint, which eventually came out in 1992. Its format was improved, there was an increased use of colour, and the text was updated by Jessica Beever. As this was before Press books were distributed by HarperCollins, McIndoe continued to market the book, paying postage for review copies and 50 percent of advertising costs. The Press was responsible for the cost of the review copies, the balance of advertising costs, and the full cost of launches and any other publicity. The new edition sold well.
