This outreach event aims to bring together scientists, members of the community, tour operators, managers and other marine folks for a day of learning and kōrero about cetaceans.

Find out about the amazing diversity of whales and dolphins in Aotearoa, learn about the latest local research projects, and discover new ways in which you can make a difference through citizen science and sharing your knowledge.

There will be presentations from a range of experts, a panel discussion about 'Whales and dolphins in a changing world' and a series of interactive activities and displays.

Details

A light lunch (vegan and GF) and afternoon tea will be provided – a koha to cover these costs is appreciated but not required.

This event is suitable for ages 14 and up.

Transport to the event is not provided, but please get in touch if you need assistance getting there.
