Marine Science: Connecting you with a diverse world under the sea
Marine scientists study the biological, chemical and physical processes in our marine environment.
At Otago, we offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees focusing on pure and applied research in marine science, oceanography and aquaculture. Students have access to:
- World class marine laboratories
- Fully equipped research vessels
- Field stations in Fiordland and Stewart Island
Marine Science graduates go on to rewarding careers in government agencies and research groups, through to working in conservation, fisheries and environmental services.
