Stewart Island Field Station
The Stewart Island Field Station is managed by the Department of Marine Science in the township of Oban on Stewart Island. It has a wet workroom space as well as accommodation for 12 people. Overflow accommodation for more people can be arranged nearby. Access to the island is via a public ferry operated by Real Journeys from Bluff.
Deep Cove Field Station
We maintain a wet workroom at Deep Cove, Doubtful Sound in Fiordland. It is immediately adjacent to Deep Cove Hostel which can accommodate 49 people. Access to Deep Cove is via ferry and bus operated by Real Journeys.
