Teams within Marketing Services
Creative Services can provide graphic design solutions, brand support, and publications for the University of Otago.
The team generally work with another relevant area of Marketing Services to ensure your advertising and marketing material is strategically aligned, effective and represents the University brand correctly.

The photographer is responsible for all University of Otago photography and management of our image library.

Overview
Divisional Marketing Advisory are your main point of contact for any divisional marketing requests.
The team provide advice and support to portfolio leaders and managers to strengthen each division's strategic and operational marketing endeavours.They will work alongside you to coordinate the delivery of marketing activities in alignment with University and Divisional marketing strategies.
Divisional Marketing are physically located within each academic division and at the Christchurch and Wellington campuses.

Overview
The Marketing Events team provide a range of services throughout the event process, from initial conceptualisation and feasibility, through to on-the-day support and post-event evaluation.
Please note that association and hosted events, i.e. events not owned by the University of Otago, are not managed by the Marketing Events team. Also, the Marketing Events team only manage events that are aligned with the strategic goals of the University.
Services
The Marketing Events team provides support ranging from end-to-end event co-ordination for undergraduate recruitment events, through to the provision of info and resources for staff organising their own small events.
End-to-end co-ordination
- Initial conceptualisation and feasibility
- Event planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement
- Logistics such as travel, venue and catering, equipment and entertainment, invitations and registrations, and collaboration with Marketing and Communications teams
- Running of the event from set-up to troubleshooting and pack-down
- Evaluation, debrief, and recommendations for future events
Small event support
- Providing advice and guidance
- Access to a range of templates and tools
- Equipment hire
External Events
The Marketing Events team's primary focus is on University-owned events. The Marketing Events team does not provide services for external events held on-campus. A toolkit has been designed to assist you to plan your event at the Dunedin campus.
