There are a number of things on the University of Otago website that the Web Experience team are not responsible for and cannot access to edit. Below is a list of things that the Web Experience do not manage and who you should contact for assistance.

Updating paper information

If you need to update paper information on a paper page you need to email Information Collection.

N.B. If you need to update links to paper pages on a department website, e.g. those appearing on an academic staff member's profile, then the WebEx team can do this.

Changing details on qualification webpages

To change information on qualification webpages (where the URL contains /courses/qualifications), email your request to Student Experience.

Making changes to the University of Otago online phonebook

The Web Experience team cannot update the Contacts website (online phonebook). The database that populates the site's content is maintained by ITS.

Changes required to the AskOtago Knowledgebase

If you require a change to an AskOtago knowledgebase article you will need to email AskOtago.

Updating your Blog

The Web Experience team are not responsible for blogs. Requests in relation to blogs need to be referred to AskOtago IT Support.

Uploading videos to YouTube (or Vimeo)

The Internal Communications and Channels (IC&C) team are responsible for the uploading of videos to the University of Otago YouTube channel.

To get your video uploaded there, use the Social Media request form:

Research publications on academic staff profile pages

Academic research outputs/publications are recorded in the Research Outputs Database (ROD), which the Research Integrity Office manage/enter.

Academic staff can check what is entered into ROD by logging into MyResearch and checking their 'My Publications' list. (Only outputs marked as Quality Assured Yes or No feed through onto webpages.).

To add any additional publications/outputs, please email the required verification evidence to publications@otago.ac.nz.

If there is nothing in ROD, nothing will show on the webpage. Contact the Research Integrity Office for assistance with this.

Forms

If you need to make a change to a form or you need a new form created you will need to submit a request with AskOtago and they will forward your request on to the appropriate people in ITS.

Editing PDFs

The Web Experience team upload PDFs but we do not edit them. You will need to go to the original owner of the PDF to have it edited.
