Conference registration include lunches, morning and afternoon teas, conference dinner and conference materials.

The conference committee recognises the exclusions placed on conference attendance through the requirement of a registration fee. We are however, faced with promoting critical and politically focused scholarship in an environment where humanities conferences and work is difficult to institutionally fund. As a small attempt to rectify these competing practices, we encourage those who are able to do so to donate to a Postgraduate and/ or Unwaged attendees pool. The funds collected through this pool will be allocated to attendees who are unable to afford travel and attendance at the conference.

Journal Subscription

Fully peer-reviewed, Somatechnics seeks contributions that present innovative examinations of the interplay between bodily being and the technological context in which it occurs. The journal publishes articles and special issues on topics such as the (soma)technics of racialization, 'terror', movement, spatialization, size(ing), reproduction, consumption, gender, medicine, information, gaming, film, nation, globalization, ecology, bioscience, law, sexuality, family, education, health, visuality and ancestry.

Edinburgh University Press is offering conference delegates special subscription rates. For $55.00 (NZD), delegates can receive two hardcopy issues (from 2014) delivered with their conference pack or opt for an online subscription rate for two issues (from 2015) at $30 (NZD).
