Another World is Possible: Mission, Lament and Hope (Wellington)
In this lecture, Oxford-based New Zealand missiologist Dr Cathy Ross will explore the centrality of lament for Christian life and witness. Reflecting upon the absence of lament in much contemporary Christian practice, she will examine the role of this ancient practice in expressing resistance, finding justice, and forging new hope-filled ways of living.
This lecture is the first of the 2023 Thomas Burns Memorial Lectures (held in Dunedin), repeated for a Wellington audience.
