Precision medicine aims to transform healthcare by tailoring medical treatment and interventions to the individual characteristics of each patient’s pathological process. The primary goals of precision medicine include providing more personalized and effective treatments, minimizing adverse reactions, and optimizing patient outcomes.

Precision medicine requires flexibility in research design type and focus. By leveraging advances in epigenetics, psychology and sociology, biology, and technology, precision medicine seeks to understand the genetic and molecular underpinnings of diseases at an individual level.

This 1‑hour seminar looks at what types of study designs would be needed to address this lofty endeavour and discusses the plausibility as well.
